CD-ROM — Alaska's Aquatic Ecosystems
I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Daniel Pauly and his team at the Fisheries Centre at UBC on this prject to produce
a CD-ROM titled Alaska's Aquatic Ecosystems. It was presented at a meeting of scientists in Alaska in March 1999, 10 years after the
Exxon Valdez oil spill. This CD is a compilation of the research conducted in the 10 years since the oil spill and its purpose was to make the findings available to the
public. Funding was provided by the Exxon Valdez Trustee Council.
The home screen gives some idea of the type of information available.
The CD contained an extensive photo and video library of different plant and animal species found in Alaska.
The CD included video of researchers working in the field, explaining the nature of their projects and synopsis of their results.
